Double Block and Bleed Valves 

  • Occupational health and safety requirements
    Safety requirements in the process industry are extremely high. When looking for a Double Block and Bleed Valve always consider that the DBB Valve should meet the requirements of OSHA to provide a safe solution for a positive isolation on both sides.
  • Safe locking against unauthorised actuation
    Prefer DBB Valves with a lockable handle/lever. Check if the actuator mounting flanges, unless otherwise specified, are in full accordance with ISO 5211.
  • Certification and Traceability
    Consider that your DBB Valves should have the material test certificate 3.1 according to EN 10204. And an unique code should be stamped on all relevant components linking them with their material and chemical analysis certificates.
  • Fire safe solution
    To ensure a safe working environment prefer DBB Valves which are fire safe tested and certified in acc. with requirements for DBB valves according to API 607 and ISO 10497.
  • Fugitive Emission
    Keep in mind that stringent legal requirements force certain industries to track and limit Fugitive Emissions by using emission-reducing equipment. Use DBB Valves which are tested and certified for fugitive emissions in acc. with requirements for DBB valves according to ISO 15848-1.
  • Face-to-face requirement
    Prefer DBB Valves which meet the face-to-face requirements of ASME B16.10 (where feasible). As a consequence the valve can easily be installed into an existing pipeline without the need for any re-work on the pipeline. And you can avoid occupational accidents and diseases.
